Re-Imagining Century Ballroom

Century Ballroom has been a cornerstone of the Seattle dance community for 28 years, led by Hallie Kuperman. We are lovers of dance, deeply embedded in these communities, and we want to continue her mission and protect the precious resource of this beautiful historic space. While we negotiate the lease, we are asking the community to rally behind us to make this a reality.

As rents go up, venues disappear, and we live in an increasingly uncertain world, our access to dance, creative expression and connection become even more essential.

We have the support of several anchor investors, however, we’re asking the community to support with smaller one-time contributions to get the rest of the way to our goal. These funds will go towards:

Providing the security deposit required by the landlords to sign the lease
The renovation and historic restoration of the Grand Ballroom and West Hall
Seed capital to carry them through the first 18 months of operations until they become profitable.

Together we can truly do big, beautiful things.
